Terms of Service

Effective: January 1, 2026

Chaeeum Korean Medicine Hospital (hereinafter referred to as 'the Hospital') establishes the following Terms of Service to define the rights, obligations, and responsibilities between the Hospital and users regarding the use of internet-related services provided by the Hospital.

Article 1 (Purpose)

These Terms define the conditions and procedures for using the online services (hereinafter 'Services') provided by Chaeeum Korean Medicine Hospital through its website (https://chaeeum.com, hereinafter 'Site'), as well as the rights, obligations, and responsibilities of the Hospital and users.

Article 2 (Definitions)

The definitions of terms used in these Terms are as follows.

1. Services

Refers to all online services provided by the Hospital through the Site, including medical treatment information, online questionnaire completion, appointment scheduling, diet program management, real-time consultation chat, and medical information access.

2. Users

Refers to both members and non-members who access the Site and use the Services provided by the Hospital in accordance with these Terms.

3. Members

Refers to individuals who have registered with the Hospital by creating an account through social login (Google, Kakao, Naver, Apple) and can continuously use the Services provided by the Hospital.

4. Verified Members

Refers to members who have completed mobile phone identity verification (PASS) and have been granted access to medical information.

Article 3 (Posting and Modification of Terms)

① The Hospital shall post the contents of these Terms on the initial page of the Site or on a connected page within the Services. ② The Hospital may amend these Terms to the extent that they do not violate relevant laws. ③ When the Terms are modified, the Hospital shall announce the changes on the Site at least 7 days before the effective date. However, changes unfavorable to users shall be announced at least 30 days in advance. ④ If a user does not agree with the modified Terms, they may discontinue use of the Services and withdraw their membership. Continued use of the Services after the effective date of the modified Terms shall be deemed as consent to the changes.

Article 4 (Provision of Services)

The Hospital provides the following Services.

1. Medical Information Services

Provides hospital-related information including hospital introduction, medical department information, medical staff profiles, and pricing information.

2. Online Consultation and Appointment Services

Provides online questionnaire completion and appointment scheduling services for programs such as the diet program.

3. Medical Record Access Services

Provides services for viewing medical-related information such as diet program progress and treatment record summaries, available only to members who have completed identity verification.

4. Real-time Consultation Services

Provides real-time chat consultation services with hospital staff for members.

5. Notification Services

Provides appointment reminders, program information, and other notifications through KakaoTalk and other channels.

Article 5 (Membership Registration)

① Users may register for membership through social login (Google, Kakao, Naver, Apple) provided by the Hospital. ② Membership registration consists of the user's agreement to the Terms, submission of registration application, and approval by the Hospital. ③ The Hospital may refuse registration or subsequently restrict or revoke membership in the following cases: 1. Using another person's identity information 2. Providing false information during registration 3. Applying with the intent to undermine public order and morality 4. Failing to meet other requirements established by the Hospital

Article 6 (Membership Withdrawal and Disqualification)

① Members may request withdrawal at any time through the My Page section within the Services, and the Hospital shall process the withdrawal immediately. ② Upon membership withdrawal, member information shall be deleted except for information required to be retained under relevant laws and the Privacy Policy. ③ Medical records under the Medical Service Act shall be retained for the legally mandated period regardless of membership withdrawal.

Article 7 (User Obligations)

Users shall not engage in the following activities: 1. Registering false information during registration or modification 2. Using another person's identity information 3. Unauthorized modification of information posted by the Hospital 4. Transmitting or posting information other than that designated by the Hospital 5. Infringing on the intellectual property rights of the Hospital or third parties 6. Damaging the reputation of or interfering with the business of the Hospital or third parties 7. Posting or displaying obscene or violent messages, images, or audio on the Services 8. Reproducing, distributing, or commercially using information obtained through the Services without prior consent from the Hospital 9. Any other activities that violate relevant laws or regulations established by the Hospital

Article 8 (Hospital Obligations)

① The Hospital shall not engage in activities prohibited by relevant laws and these Terms or contrary to public morals, and shall do its best to provide continuous and stable Services. ② The Hospital shall maintain security systems to protect users' personal information, and shall publicly disclose and comply with its Privacy Policy. ③ The Hospital shall address opinions and complaints raised by users regarding the use of Services when deemed legitimate.

Article 9 (Medical Information Disclaimer)

① Medical-related information posted on the Site (treatment guides, program descriptions, etc.) is intended for general health information purposes and does not replace consultation with a physician. ② Users should not make medical judgments or treatment decisions based solely on the information on the Site, and should receive professional medical services through consultation at the Hospital. ③ Treatment information summaries, diet program progress, and other information provided online are for reference purposes only. Please verify accurate medical information directly at the Hospital.

Article 10 (Limitation and Suspension of Services)

① The Hospital may restrict or suspend all or part of the Services in the following cases: 1. Maintenance, inspection, replacement, malfunction, or communication failure of service equipment 2. Force majeure events such as natural disasters or national emergencies 3. When a user interferes with the Hospital's business activities ② The Hospital shall provide advance notice when restricting or suspending Services. However, notice may be provided after the fact in urgent circumstances.

Article 11 (Intellectual Property Rights)

① Intellectual property rights to works created by the Hospital belong to the Hospital. ② Users shall not reproduce, transmit, publish, distribute, broadcast, or otherwise use information obtained through the Services, or allow third parties to use such information, without prior consent from the Hospital.

Article 12 (Damages and Disclaimer)

① The Hospital shall not be liable for any damages incurred by users in connection with the use of Services provided free of charge. ② The Hospital shall not be liable for service disruptions caused by reasons attributable to the user. ③ The Hospital shall be exempt from liability when unable to provide Services due to force majeure events or equivalent circumstances. ④ The Hospital shall not be liable for any expected profits that users fail to obtain or any losses incurred through the use of the Services.

Article 13 (Dispute Resolution and Jurisdiction)

① Disputes arising between the Hospital and users regarding the use of Services shall be resolved through mutual consultation. ② If consultation fails, any litigation regarding the dispute shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the court having jurisdiction over the Hospital's location. ③ Matters not specified in these Terms and interpretation of these Terms shall be governed by the relevant laws and customary practices of the Republic of Korea.

Supplementary Provisions

These Terms shall take effect from January 1, 2026.
